3 Day Safari To Samburu National Park

Our 3 day safari to Samburu will take you to explore the national reserve which is located on the banks of the Ewaso Ng’iro River in Kenya. On the other side of the river is the Buffalo Springs National Reserve. The park is 165 km² in size and is situated 350 kilometers from Nairobi. The reserve is well known for the presence of unique species such as Gravy’s Zebra, the long – necked Gerenuk gazelle, Biesa Oryx and the Blue necked Somalia Ostrich among the wildlife.

Safari To Samburu National Reserve – Detailed Itinerary.

Day 1: Transfer From Nairobi For A Safari To Samburu National Park

The day starts with meet and greet by our company representatives thereafter proceed Northwards for a safari to Samburu National Park, crossing the thorny landscape of Samburu County. Samburu National park is known for the presence of unique species such as Gravy’s Zebra, the long-necked Gerenuk, among the wildlife that shares this semi-arid habitat. Arrive in Samburu time for lunch, after lunch proceed for afternoon game drive in search of wildlife such as reticulated Giraffe, Gravy’s zebra, Beisa Oryx and the blue necked Somali ostrich. Overnight at samburu riverside tented camp

Day 2: Full Day Safari To Samburu National Resereve

On this day after breakfast, you will spend Full day safari to Samburu National park with early morning and afternoon game drives in park, which covers 40 square miles (104 square kilometers). Ololokwe Table Mountain forms a dramatic backdrop to our game viewing.

 

Samburu is also home to the third of Kenya’s giraffe species – the rare Reticulated Giraffe (only found in the Northern parks). This is also where you see the blue-legged Somali Ostrich, the long-necked Gerenuk gazelle and the straight-horned Beisa Oryx antelope. Overnight at in Samburu riverside tented camp

Day 3: Game Drive In Samburu National Reserve And Transfer Back To Nairobi

Another early morning game viewing drive at Samburu then back to the lodge for breakfast and check out. Depart after breakfast and drive back to Nairobi. You will have a stopover along the way for a chance to buy souvenirs.
