Tour Itinerary For The 5 Day Safari with Gorillas

Day 1: Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park – Evening game drive

Start your 5 day safari with Gorillas with a drive to Queen Elizabeth National Park coupled with photo poses at the Equator line. Hot Lunch en route and drive through villages with cultivated hills until the lush green tea estates in a rich green belt before the escarpment. Check in and enjoy magnificent endless views from your overnight place as the sun sets. Overnight Pumba Safari cottages.

 

Day 2: Game drive and Launch cruise on Kazinga Channel – Queen Elizabeth National Park

Enjoy more time as we go safari to Queen Elizabeth National Park. Queen Elizabeth National Park is a home to elephants, lions, hippos, buffalo and baboons. Participate in game drives to immerse yourself with the medley of wonders with the mountaiain of the moon on top of the endless savannah. Keep enjoying your safari to Queen Elizabeth National Park.

 

After a hot lunch we get ready for the Classic highlights on the 2hrs Boat cruise on the famous Kazinga channel at 3pm, this is a 36kms channel linking Lake George – Lake Edward. Here you can see land and water Adapted Hippopotamuses Yawning and some slashing canines to each other and the National Geographical society Killing machine the Nile Crocodile gaping along the Banks and Savannah version of Pigs the Warthog- Pumba of the award winning Lion King are a hallmark sign in this Animal home. Overnight Pumba Safari cottages-

 

Day 3: Game-drive and Boat-cruise Queen Elizabeth National Park 

Our 5 day Gorilla trekking will also include Exploration of Queen Elizabeth National Park in the cool morning with an early game-drive that exposes us to diverse animals, Big 5 members Elephants, Buffalos, big cats- Lions, Leopards more times in the evening, warthogs- Hunchback carnivals like Hyenas are spotted along the circuits as we drive along the and many more species that are residents to this park. There is a rich bird life especially our version of storks in the wetland sports as we reach the Flamingoes in the salt lakes.

 

After lunch we head for a classic highlight of the 3pm 2hrs Boat cruise on the famous Kazinga channel, a 36kms channel linking Lake George to Lake Edward. Day 4: Game-drive Ishasha and Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park

We will drive off in the adventurous vast savannah of the Ishasha area of Queen Elizabeth National Park famous for Topis, the southern version of Elephants and hopefully with the lions high in the Fig tree branches. This is one of two areas in Africa where lions have the habit of regularly climbing trees to take a rest. Transfer on to Bwindi mountain gorillas through a beautiful drive taking you from the savanna via cultivated hills to the jungle covered mountains of Bwindi. (If we reach early we can do the walk and mix with the locals or relax with the Orphans group performers) Overnight accommodation – Buhoma community Rest camp / Broadbill Forest camp

 

Day 4: Mountain Gorilla Trekking Day

Bwindi Impenetrable National Park is the home to the forest giants that are cousins to human beings, the Gorillas. Today, trek through the park’s dense vegetation, travelling up and down its steep slopes in search of the resident Mountain Gorillas. Your guides use their experience, knowledge of the gorilla habits and information from the previous day to locate them. Once the gorillas are spotted, spend an amazing hour observing their subtle social interactions, remarkable behaviors closely resembling our own.

 

Drive to spend the night in the middle of Africa’s second deepest lake – Lake Bunyonyi commonly known as “The Switzerland Of Africa” due to her endles stunning beauty. Overnight at Lake Bunyonyi Eco Resort

 

Day 5: Transfer to Kampala/Entebbe    

After breakfast and enjoying the views one last time you set off towards Kampala. Have lunch along the way. Get back to Kampala in the late afternoon with memories after completing the 4 days Gorilla trekking and wildlife experience.
