13 Days Uganda & Tanzania Primate, Wildlife Big 5 Safari is a unique safari that will let you explore Uganda’s diversity in landscapes and activities. Tour Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival at Entebbe Airport

Our safari representative will be readily waiting to cheer you and welcome you for your African Adventure. You will then transfer to your Hotel in Entebbe to relax and get ready for the adventure starting the next day. Overnight at Papyrus guesthouse Entebbe

Day 2: Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park 

With an early breakfast, your guide will join you for the journey to the home of the mountain gorillas. Be prepared for a long day in the car. Along the way you will make a stop by the equator for some photos and have lunch in Masaka or Mbarara depending on the time. Continue on to Bwindi Mountain Gorillas through the neck of the impenetrable forest. The journey offers some great views. Overnight at bakiga lodge

DAY 3: Gorilla trekking day- Bwindi Impenetrable National Park 

Bwindi Impenetrable National Park is the home to the forest giants that are cousins to human beings, the gorillas. Have an early breakfast before setting off for your gorilla trekking adventure with a specialized guide. Besides the gorillas this Impenetrable Forest is full of birds, butterflies and plant species plus forest hog, forest elephants, statungas and duikers.13 Days Uganda & Tanzania , Enjoy the walk through the forest and spend one hour around the gorillas. After the gorilla trek your guide picks you and depending on the time you are back from trekking you drive to Queen Elizabeth national park. The aim is to spend the night at the edge of Queen Elizabeth national park, with an exciting drive there with chance of seeing baboons and other monkeys along the way as well as a the chance of spotting elephants from the lodge. Day 4: Explore Queen Elizabeth with Game drive and Kazinga channel boat-cruise 

We start the day with an early breakfast before exploring the Ishasha sector for various antelopes and the famous tree climbing lions. After lunch at the lodge we get ready for the Classic highlights on the 2hrs Boat cruise on the famous Kazinga channel. 13 Days Uganda & Tanzania, A 36kms long natural channel linking Lake George and Lake Edward. Here we can expect to see land and water Adapted Hippopotamuses Yawning and some slashing canines to each other and the National Geographical society Killing machine the Nile crocodile gaping along the Banks! Savannah version of Pigs the Warthog- Pumba of the award winning Lion King are a hallmark sign in this Animal home! Of Mamaland Uganda. We finish the day off with a game-drive out of the park seeing what we can tick off before the sunsets. Overnight in Pumba safari cottages

DAY 5:Transfer to the crater lakes area by Kibale Forest & walk to Crater Lake

Leave the area of Queen Elizabeth national park with the crater lakes area as the target. Pass by local markets and drive further through the crater areas. Check in at the lodge and go for a walk taking you to see beautiful views of a crater lake and hopefully some interesting primates such as Black and white colobus – red colobus and red tailed monkey plus colorful butterflies and various Bird species like the native Great blue Turaco.

DAY 6: Chimpanzee trekking and Bigodi Nature walk 

Head into the forest of the Primate City of Kibale in the morning for chimpanzee trekking. This is a three-hour experience. As an option you can upgrade to participating in Chimpanzee habituation, where you get to follow the chimps for the whole day, a truly exclusive experience (this is an optional activity that is not included in the stated price. Inform us when booking if you wish to do the habituation). Kibale Forest national park is a rainy forest and a home to over 1500 Chimpanzees. Here you have the chance to see the chimps close up and capture shots of our closet cousins in the jungle in their frenzy exciting moods as they are grooming, building relationships, bringing up young ones, think and sharing food, plus rare bird species following them. In the forest 9 different species of Monkeys are found so you have chances of seeing red colobus, red tailed monkey and bush babies on a great day. After the trek your guide picks you and takes you back to the lodge. Relax for lunch and in the afternoon Bigodi nature walk, overnight at isunga lodge.

Day 7: Transfer to Entebbe with possible guided walk around the botanical gardens

We start the day with a relaxed breakfast before starting the drive to Entebbe. With lunch stop on the way and getting some time to stretch the legs at the equator. Time allowing, we can have a guided nature walk along the Entebbe botanical garden for the different primates, birds and plant species. Overnight Papyrus Guesthouse

DAY 8: Regional flight from Entebbe to Kilimanjaro with Uganda Airlines at 1400 Hours arriving at 1700 Hours 

With a lazy breakfast, get ready for the air transfer to Kilimanjaro / Arusha where your guide will pick you and proceed to Arusha for an overnight or if time allows we drive straight to Karatu. Overnight at Eileen’s tree Inn Karatu or Arusha Planet Hotel

DAY 9: Full day Lake Manyara National Park or Tarangire national Park

The safari proceeds with Lake Manyara National Park game drive tour, one of the most beautiful Tanzanian Parks with the most different environments in relatively small area. The Lake Manyara National Park is one of the Tanzanian parks with the highest biodiversity. In an area of only 330 kilometers (of which 230 kilometers are occupied by the lake), there are five different ecosystems. The park is inhabited by over 380 types of birds and a big number of animal species, including elephants, buffalos, zebras, giraffes, leopards, lions, baboons, hippos, antelopes, warthogs, and so many others. We will have a picnic lunch while dinner and an overnight stay will be at the lodge. Overnight at Eileen’s tree Inn.

Day 10: Transfer to explore the Serengeti National Park 

Today we enter the Serengeti National Park from the less visited western gate, and you will marvel at the multitude of animal and bird life while journeying through this acacia-spotted savannah. Game sightings abound. We arrive at the in time to enjoy a respite from the dirt roads and heat of the day and enjoy a hearty lunch. Later on in the afternoon, as the animal kingdom comes alive, continue your search for the “Big 5″ – lion, leopard, buffalo, elephant and rhino – while taking in the vastness of the Serengeti plains heading for the lodge as the sun sets on this magnificent animal kingdom. DAY 11: Experience Serengeti National Park – Seronera Area

After an early rise spend the morning exploring the vast Serengeti and we move from location to location in search of sometimes elusive game and visit a waterhole known for its Hippos and alligators. Visit the Masai Kopjes, airstrip area and then back to the heart of Serengeti. Overnight at Into Wild Africa Tented Camp

DAY 12: Serengeti National Park-Ngorongoro Crater

After an easy early rise we head towards Ngorongoro Crater, cited as ‘Africa’s Eden’ and the ’8th Natural Wonder of the World’. The Ngorongoro Crater is a breathtaking natural wonder referred to as the world’s biggest wildlife zoo, due to its high density of resident game. In the afternoon we descend to the crater floor where you will be amazed by the sheer number and diversity of animals and birdlife. Standing in our pop up safari vehicle the viewing opportunities are endless, just deciding which way to look and what to look at, the choices are unlimited. The sheer excitement as we spot any of the big 5. 13 Days Uganda & Tanzania, Tonight as we relax we reflect on what has been a truly remarkable journey like no other experience and marvel in the wonders of the amazing wildlife East Africa has to offer. Day 13: Transfer to Arusha / Kilimanjaro & flight

With an early breakfast, we drive to the crater rim with more chances to see the rhinos, lots of predators and other big five members. Afterwards, we drive to Kilimanjaro via Arusha where you are dropped off as we have reached the end of our Best of 13 Days Uganda and Tanzania safari adventure. Here you can plan to catch a flight on to other adventures or back to your home country full of memories to marvel over for a long time.
