Wildlife Safari to Amboseli national park will introduce you to its famous big game and the fascinating scenic beauty – the landscape is dominated by the towering Mount Kilimanjaro.
Lies immediately north-west of Mount Kilimanjaro, on the border with Tanzania. The Park covers 392 square km, and forms part of the much larger 3,000 square km Amboseli ecosystem.
The National Park embodies five main wildlife habitats (open plains, acacia woodland, rocky thorn bush country, swamps and marshland) and covers part of a Pleistocene lake basin, now dry.
Day 1. Transfer for wildlife safari to Amboseli national park – Evening game drive
An early morning starts with a lazy breakfast and drive to Amboseli National Park. Check-in at accommodation and lunch. Afternoon wildlife safari Amboseli National park.
Amboseli National Park is situated due south of Nairobi, Most of the park consists of a dry, ancient lake bed and fragile grassland with patches of acacia woodland, while in the southern area there is a number of small, rocky, volcanic hills. Around the swamps Ol Okenya, Ol Tukai and Enkongo Narok, the vegetation is lush with yellow barked acacias and phoenix palms. Dinner and overnight at Amboseli sopa lodge.
Day 2 – Living with the Large Tuskers of Amboseli National park
Spend the whole day at the park or morning and afternoon game drives during your wildlife viewing safari to Amboseli national park . Amboseli is best known for the striking imagery of African elephants with the towering Kilimanjaro peak as a backdrop, Also Amboseli is home to a vast elephant population, known for its large old bull elephants. The game drives take us in search of the diverse wildlife and birds drawn to the grasslands and seasonal flood plains of Amboseli, offering fantastic photographic opportunities. Day 3: Game viewing Amboseli and Transfer back to Nairobi
Another early morning game viewing drive at Amboseli then back to the lodge for breakfast and check out. Depart after breakfast and drive back to Nairobi. You will have a stopover along the way for a chance to buy souvenirs.
