This 6 Days Living Among Predators is our most popular family friendly African safari vacation as it allows you to spend a very reasonable amount of time in the Serengeti (2 nights) and still have the chance of exploring Ngorongoro and Tarangire National Parks. You can either do the tour by land (circle itinerary) or fly back from the Serengeti to remove the backtracking.
Tour Itinerary For The 6 Days Living Among Predators – Tanzania family friendly African vacation
Day 1: Arrive at the Kilimanjaro International Airport
Arrive at the Kilimanjaro International Airport where you will be met at the airport and be transferred at to start your 6 Days Living Among Predators – Tanzania family friendly African vacation. Tourist Inn hotel in Arusha for overnight
Day 2; Arusha to Tarangire – Game drive to Explore Tarangire national park
Leave Arusha in the morning with packed lunches and drive to Tarangire, Tanzania’s third largest national park and sanctuary for an unusually large elephant population. Majestic baobab trees are an interesting feature of the park, dwarfing the animals that feed beneath them. Animals concentrate along the Tarangire River, which provides the only permanent water supply in the area. There is a great diversity of wildlife including lion, leopard, and cheetah and up to six thousand elephant. Lunch boxes will be provided to you at the picnic point. After game viewing you will overnight at Tarangire Simba Lodge
Day 3; Tarangire to Serengeti Plains – Living among predators
In the morning after breakfast drive to Serengeti national park passing Ngorongoro conservation area authority, your driver will stop in some of the beautiful views overlooking the crater, further continue via Oldvai gorge the cradle of mankind, Where Dr Leakey and Marry Luice made many significant discovery of the first man. On crossing the border picnic lunch will be provided by your driver guide followed by game viewing. After en route game drive, you will overnight at Into Wild Africa tented camp
Day 4: Full Day Serengeti Exploration – Discover the Endless Plains
Full day in the Serengeti National Park. We are completely flexible with your preferences and this day will be organized according to your wishes. On every day of the safari, your guide will discuss with you the best timings for you, including the game drives and the wake up time. For example, on this day, you could do a morning game drive, return to the camp for lunch and relaxation and finish with an afternoon game drive, or you could do a full day game drive with picnic lunch. overnight at Into Wild Africa tented camp
Day 5; Morning game drive in Serengeti and Transfer to Ngorongoro Crater Rim
Early in morning after breakfast, enjoy a game drive en route to Ngorongoro highlands with spectacular viewing in Serengeti plains where you expect to see lots of the animals. Descend down the crater floor (600m) for game viewing with picnic lunch. Ngorongoro is described as one wonders of the world and the largest intact volcanic caldera and famous for being the first place where animal density is high, you can expect to see many animals including black rhino in their free surroundings, Lions, Zebra, Wildebeest, Hyena, Jackal, Cheetah, Leopard also abundant birdlife including Pelican and red Flamingoes, Turacos, Fire finch etc Sometimes you may be lucky to sport the big five inside Ngorongoro crater. Retire the day at your cozy lodge in Karatu. Overnight at Eileen’s Tree Inn Karatu
Day 6; Half Day Game Viewing Lake Manyara National Park – Transfer To The Airport.
With an early breakfast, we drive to our final destination on this epic Ndutu wildebeest calving safari – Lake Manyara National Park. This, a relatively small but diverse park, 120km west of Arusha, is so named for the shallow Salt Lake that covers some seventy percent of the surface area, flooding and drying with the seasons and home to thousands of flamingos and in the extraordinary region of 500 other bird species. On our exploration of the park, we will see monkeys, giraffes, zebra, wildebeests, buffalo, elephants, and, with some luck, lions lounging in the trees. The park is known for its diverse landscapes; not only open grassy plains but also primate-filled woodlands and baobab-dotted cliffs.
After lunch, we head back to Arusha or transfer directly to Kilimanjaro international airport for your late departure back home as we have reached the inevitable end of 6 Days Living Among Predators – Tanzania family friendly African vacation, with all the sights and sounds of wild East Africa tucked away in our mind for our adventure in life’s journey.
